Jagat B. Dahal is a founder and CEO of Himalayan Leaders. He has been involved in the tourism industry for over thirty years. He is a professional, dynamic, and self-dedicated leader in tourism.“Atithi Devo Bhava, the guest is god.” He is responsible for maintaining and building healthy relationships with guests and company leadership.
He was born in a Mountain region in Dolakha district, a gateway to Everest Base Camp. He began his career in tourism as an assistant guide and now is an entrepreneur.
He is passionate about traveling and adventure activities; he is born in a mountain region and loves nature and mountains. So, after high school, in their early 20s, he followed his passion for the profession as an assistant guide. During his period as a guide, he led many groups in the mountain regions of Nepal. He also has guided experiences in Tibet, Bhutan, and India with many groups. After serving several years as a guide, he started his own trekking company, “Himalayan Leaders” in 1998 to provide quality service for trekkers to create unforgettable memories for their journey.
Besides mountains, Mr. Jagat loves exploring foreign cultures and lifestyles, so he often attends travel fairs for business marketing and new experiences. He has visited Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, France, Norway, Italy, India, Bhutan, South Korea, China, and Tibet.
Along with the tourism business, he is also active in social activities. He founded Himalayan Care Hands NGO, a non-profit organization working on health, education, women empowerment, youth, and promotions. With the lead of Jagat, HCH built a community hospital (Himalayan Care Hands Hospital) in Dolkha district; after a couple of years of being run by HCH, they handed over to the government of Nepal. He is also the founder of Samundra Nepal. He organized health camps and skilled development programs in remote villages in Nepal together with Samundra Nepal and Samundra Belgium. Being from the mountain region, he faces real situations, so he contributes his helping hand to the needy places.
