Khopra danda lies at 3660m from sea level. Firstly, this place is famous for its panoramic/outstanding mountain views. Some of are Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche Peak (6800m), Nilgiri (6600m), Annapurna I (8091m). Likewise, Hiuchuli (6441m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), Manaslu(8163m), and also other himalayan can view from there. As well as, the extra beautiful scenery is Khayar Lake situates at 4700m.

Secondly, this place has fewer visitors as it is the new trek in the Annapurna region. In addition, the Khayar lake trek is an awesome trek for peace and quiet lover trekkers. There are neat, clean, and comfortable community lodges at every campsite. The trekker will assure much more satisfaction. You will get a chance to explore the local people, their lifestyle, natural and cultural. So trekking is a popular destination for religious people who want to visit pilgrimage sites and pray.

Thus, the place considers a holy lake. Similarly, it believes that when people visit the pilgrimage site and pray they will get good karma. The peak point of the trekking route is the base camp of Annapurna south climbing. Moreover, this is a beautiful place and adobe of Goddess Khayar Barahi. During the period of the Janai Purnima festival, there is the ritual of sacrificing animals.

Day to day schedule to Nepal: 13d Khopra Danda Trekking

  • Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu and transfer to hotel o/n in Hotel +D

    On your arrival at the airport, we will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel.

  • Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing o/n in Hotel +O

    The very next morning, after breakfast you will be taken for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You can visit center of pilgrimage Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, very ancient and essentially enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites. The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhnath might make you feel calm and peace.

  • Day 03: Drive or fly to Pokhara (914m.) o/n at hotel +O

    We take early drive/flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.). One can view green hills, beautiful valleys and some mountain views on the way. Pokhara is regarded as tourists’ paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites. One can have pleasure to observe views of Phewa Taal (lake), Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

  • Day 04: Trek to Ghandruk (1951m, 4/5 hrs) o/n atCommunity lodge+O+L+D

    After 1 hrs drive we forward our destination to Ghandruk. Ghandruk, which is a stunning village of Gurung people, one of Nepal’s most famous ethnic groups, known for their distinctive dialect, culture, costume, and life style. Ghandruk is also home to many soldiers from the famous Gurkha regiments. From here we can have stunning views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Fishtail.

  • Day 05: Trek to Tadapani (2670m, 2/2hrs) o/n at teahouse+O+L+D

    Today after breakfast we trek to Tadapani. On the way we can explore the beautiful Annapurna range with rhododendron forest. The trial starts with steep climb. Tadapani is the busy town from here close view of Annapurna south can be explore.

  • Day 06: Trek to Dobato (3450m, 5 hrs) o/n at Community lodge+O+L+D

    The first we start our journey with a gentle walk through beautiful Rhododendron forest. We can see a lot of Primula. It was only a small trail high up on the mountainside, so be careful. Some parts very gentle around the mountainside and some parts were very steep up.

  • Day 07: Trek to Khopra Danda (3660m, 6/7 hrs) o/n at Community lodge +O+L+D

    Today we walk through some very nice forests with old big trees, not to be seen in Nepal very often. From Chistibang it takes about two hours to reach the top. It was steep up. On the top we could see beautiful: Rhododendron, Dhaulagiri, Tukhuche Peak, Damphus Peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna 1, Annapurna South.

  • Day 08: Rest day in Khopra Danda and hiking to the Khayar Lake (4500m, 6/7hrs) o/n at Community lodge +O+L+D

    We need to start early morning around 6 am and we must take pack lunch and dry food. It is most of the part nice trail but near the lake we need to care full because much steep part. Khayar Lake is sacred lake holy lake for Hinduism pilgrimage. They go to pray and sacrifice to Goat male every fool moon day on July or on August. It is very sacred lake where considered abode of the Goddess of KhayarBarahi. Khayar lake is the base camp of Annapurna south.

  • Day 09: Trek to Paudwar (1750m, 4/5 hrs) o/n at home stay +O+L+D

    From Khopra Ridge it is possible to walk to a lake (4300). The trail is steep down on a ridge with irregular stones and stone steps, but mostly ok. It is also a very nice trail with a nature and a view so beautiful, wild and dramatically, that again it is like a fairytale.

  • Day 10: Trek to Tatopani (1190m, 3hrs) o/n at Tea house +O+L+D

    After having breakfast trek to Tatopani through the jungle and crossing Hanging bridge with exploring the local villages.

  • Day 11: Trek to Pokhara (5hrs) o/n at Hotel +O+L+D

    After breakfast trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara and from Birethanti it takes about 45 minutes to reach Pokhara.

  • Day 12: Fly or drive to Kathmandu +O

    Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus. After a normal drive of seven hours, we reach Kathmandu.

  • Day 13: Departure. +O

    After having Breakfast, enjoy the leisure time until transfer to airport.
