Firstly, a trail leads you to the vast bazaar of Chautara. Chautara lies at an elevation of 1,410 meters and a 5hrs drive from Kathmandu. It can be found off of the Friendship High Way, directly before Dolaghat. Our hike begins here, going to a hill, and then continuing further north to Panch Pokhari. This is also known as the Five Lakes and is located at an elevation of 3,600 meters. We keep going till we reach Tarke Gyang in Helambu. Helambu is the point we turn around and travel back down through Sermathang to get to Melamchipull Bazaar and Pachkhal on the Kodari route. After that, we continue on our way to Kathmandu. Pancha Pokhari trek is one of the most beautiful and untouched treks near Kathmandu.
