Pangong Tso is the highest lake in the Ladakh region situated at 4300m. The lake is surrounded by giant peaks that are well over 6400m and Pangong has situated 160km from Leh. It is famous for colorful stones, fossils, and wildflowers in summer. Thus, a trip to Pangong Tso is very rewarding and gives you a lifelong memory. You will drive through the villages of the pastoral community. This community has retained its nomadic glory in spite of the harsh weather and also crosses many high mountain passes. You can visit some of the remotest areas of Ladakh.
It is a Nomadic area of a tribe known as “Changpas”. They can be spotted in Rebos (Yak wool tents) with the hairs of yaks, horses, goats & sheep.
