The fascination for the Himalayas surely appears on the Milke Danda trek. The Trek leads through an easy, colorful, and pleasant lowland country and varies with the remote, uninhabited ridges. On the trial, we get a chance to explore breathtaking mountain views of some of the world’s five highest peaks. The trail sets easily after Basantapur, leading up to Gupha Pokhari, where the 8463 meters high Makalu’’ reflects its greatness in the water of a pond also known as Dudh Pokhari. Then after we continue to the known unique rhododendron forests of the Milke Danda, exchanging friendly words with the local herder’s camps. And onto the Jaljale Himal (4765 meters), a rocky ridge set with stunning views of small lakes.
And remember that to enjoy the rhododendron flower, the best time to visit is from the end of February till April. On the way back we can choose several trails down to reach Tumlingtar. Tumlingtar is the place, where this trek ends with the flight to Kathmandu.
