Jomsom Muktinath trekking boasts some spectacular mountain views. And the route actually crosses to the other side of the main Himalayan range for views of the northern flanks. From the Kali Gandaki valley, you can make excursions to either the 1950 French Annapurna North Face Base Camp or the Dhaulagiri Base Camp. From Kagbeni a steep climb reaches Muktinath, an important place of pilgrimage for both Hindus and Buddhists. Well-to-do Indians fly into Jomsom and walk or ride horses to Muktinath.

Muktinath valley is set in a grove of trees and has a Buddhist Gompa. And a pagoda-style temple of Vishnu Mandir containing an image of Vishnu. From the temple wall 108 waterspouts, cast in the shape of cow heads, pour forth sacred water. Even more sacred is the water that issues from a rock inside the ancient Tibetan–style Jwala Mai temple a short distance below the pagoda.

Jomsom Muktinath Trekking; first we fly to Jomsom and same day trek up to Muktinath the holy place for Hinduism. Then gradually trek down to Pokhara through Marpha, Kalopani, and Tatopani respectively. Normally, it is 5 days of trekking from Jomsom to Pokhara. Jomsom is the headquarters of the Mustang District. In addition, it is also the main entry route of Upper Mustang trekking. In this trekking, you can also enjoy the hot spring natural bath in Tatopani.

Day to day schedule to Nepal: 11d Jomsom Muktinath Trekking

  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, o/n in hotel. (D)

    Arrival & pick up from the international airport in Kathmandu after some refreshment we will invite you for a traditional Nepali dinner.

  • Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley o/n in a hotel (B)

    early rising for a lovely breakfast in the hotel and then it’s time to visit Pashupatinath- the most venerated Hindu temple of Nepal and Boudhanth, the biggest Buddhist stupa , Swyambhu nath, Durbar square architecture of the world. It really will impress you for sure

  • Day 3: Drive or fly to Pokhara (5/6hrs drive/ 30 min fly) o/n in a hotel (B)

    Today we drive to Pokhara (200km), approximately 7 hours away by tourist bus, if we fly it takes30minuits. We will see good scenery of countryside while driving. We will be arriving late afternoon at Pokhara around 2:00 p.m, Pokhara is an enchanting Himalayan Valley of remarkable beauty. We can explore its scenic land on bicycle/on foot or as your own like boating in Fewa Lake over looking the region of Annapurna Himalayan ranges. In the evening prepare for the trek overnight in Pokhra

  • Day 04: Morning fly to Jomsom and trek to Muktinath, 6hrs, 3760m, o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    Early morning take a flight to Jomsom, which is the District headquarters of the Mustang Region. From here we trek to Muktinath, which is one of the holy places of the Buddhist and Hindu religion.

  • Day 05: Trek to Marpha, 6/7hrs, 2600m, o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    Trek back from Multinath through trail via Kali Gandaki valley then trek to Marpha village. This town is famous for Apple. Marpha is the main inhabitants of the ethnic group of Thakalis which has been favourite amongst the trekkers.

  • Day 06: Trek to Kalopani, 6hrs, 2100m, o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    After breakfast we trek down to Kalopani walking through Kali Gandaki Valley .During the trail we will cross Thakali houses. We can explore Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains on the way to Kalopani.

  • Day 07: Trek to Tatopani ( hot spring ), 1140m, 6hrs, o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    Today our trail follows the river through a narrow gorge, and descends to cross a bridge near a spectacular waterfall, before winding through the valley to Tatopani. The hot water springs that give the village its name provide the perfect opportunity for a good ‘scrub.

  • Day 08: Trek to beni and drive to pokhara, 5/6hrs, o/n in hotel +B+L

    We start walking in the morning after breakfast from Tatopani along the path that leads to the rhododendrons forest and you can see the Annapurna South, hidden by a ridge smiling at you to beni and drive to pokhara.

  • Day 09: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu, o/n in a hotel +B

    You can take a flight or drive by tourist bus/Private car to Kathmandu.

  • Day 10: Sightseeing of bhaktpur/patan and shopping, o/n in a hotel +O

  • Day 11: Transfer to international airport in Kathmandu +O
