History of Annapurna Treks in Nepal
Annapurna Region Trekking began in the 1960s after the Nepal government introduced tourism in the country. However, prior to this, Ekai Kawaguchi, a Buddhist monk from Japan, had walked on the trails of the present-day Annapurna Circuit during his India-to-Tibet journey.
