The Everest Region or Solu Khumbu region is the second most popular trekking area of Nepal. It would probably be the most popular destination. But it is more expensive and difficult to get to this region than to the Annapurna area. To get near Everest, you must either fly to Lukla or walk for a week from Jiri.
Solu Khumbu is justifiably famous, not only for its proximity to the world’s highest mountain. But also for its Sherpa villages and Monasteries. The normal goal of the Everest trek is Everest Base camp. But as people are not able to see Everest from Basecamp, so most trekkers climb to Kalapathar or trek to Gokyo Ri. There is a dramatic view of Everest from these viewpoints. The area offers high crossing passes, a view of the highest peak of the world, perfect mountain views, beautiful lakes, and a picturesque Sherpa village. Like Namche, Thame, Tengboche, and Khumjung Everest. Trek become more popular because there are a number of trekking peaks and the high Himalayas to climb and can easily be combined with short and long trekking in this region.
