Mountain Flight Information
This is for people who don’t have enough time or have other reasons to go hiking. There is a mountain flight that offers a panoramic encounter with the highest peaks on earth. From Kathmandu, the plane takes off and flies along the Himalayas. It lets you see the snow peaks from eye level and takes you back in an hour.
You will see Shisha Pangma (8013 m.), Dorje Lakpa (6966 m.), Choba Bhamre (5933 m.), Gauri Shankar (7134 m.), and Melungtse (7023 m.). Nepal has several domestic airlines that run mountain flights. They offer visitors Beechcraft, Dorniers, Avro, SAAB, EMB, and ATR-42 planes.
