The Annapurna Sanctuary lies in the western part of Nepal in the Annapurna region. The South Face Base Camp of Annapurna is also reached by the Annapurna Sanctuary trek. Also, the walk isn’t hard, even though there are some steep hills. So, the Annapurna Sanctuary hike goes through towns, past rice terraces, and over glaciers. In the meantime, we might see great mountain views from here. So, trekking is a good way to quickly see the Himalayas.

There are also no problems with altitude or flying on the way to Annapurna like there were on Everest. You can also see the Himalayan ring. In the same way, Nepalese people call Annapurna “Sanctuary” and think of it as the home of the gods. Firstly, the beautiful walk starts above the terraced fields of Pokhara. After that, this hike follows the ridge of Ghorepani. We go to Poon Hill’s famous lookout point at the same time. So, Poon Hill is a great place to watch the sunrise over the Himalayas. Similarly, we can see Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m) to the west of Poon hill.

Trip Highlights:

So, our Annapurna sanctuary trek continues through the old oak and rhododendron forest. So, we crossed sparkling streams and went by waterfalls on the way. Where the snow and ice world starts to open up above us. As the gorge in the Modi Khola valley opens up, so does the path to the sanctuary. Then, we go up to Machapuchre Base Camp (3,700m) on the lateral moraine of Annapurna South glacier. So, the slow climb up to ABC shows how beautiful this natural amphitheater really is. So, when we get to our destination, we get to see the Himalayan peak from every direction.

Last but not least, the beautiful villages and terraced millet and rice fields, as well as the majesty of Machhapuchre (6,993m), Annapurna South (7,200m), Annapurna I (8,091m), and Hiunchuli (6,441m), make this a very rewarding trek.
